my harps

These award winning folk harps are made from traditional materials and inspired by traditional designs. A variety of hard woods are available such as Walnut, Maple, Red Oak, and Cherry.

The nylon-strung harps have laminated round backed sound boxes for comfort of playing and clarity of sound. Laminated quarter-cut Sitka spruce soundboards are standard for all the harps from the Celtic 25 up to the Concerto II. The Irish 22 and 25 string harps have birch-ply soundboards.

The weight of the harps will vary depending on the type of wood that is used in the construction of the pillar and neck. Red Oak and Maple are heavier and are more durable than Cherry or Walnut. All harps are individually made in response to needs of the customer.
